The Rocky Mountain Learning Technology Framework
When we started thinking about the challenges that the health care community and associated stakeholders face, there were a few points that kept coming up. It is clear that there are still a lot of communication hurdles that need to be addressed between various elements of this community. This state of affairs feels especially frustrating in light of the tremendous advancement in communications technologies during the last couple of years. It is almost baffling to see how far more successful and resilient grass root health care community efforts are when compared to similar experiments involving state supported or private health care providers.
My personal opinion is that grassroot efforts do have not have to get through the myriad of policy, technological and financial hoops before they can make their community support infrastructures available and in most cases, the community is supported voluntarily and many individuals in such efforts are in a position to contribute even before a monetization mechanism is in place. The question therefore is: how can we achieve a similar level of success with our traditional health care providing institutions, both from the educational and services perspectives? This is one of the questions that Rocky Mountain Learning is well positioned to answer.
Over the years, we have developed the expertise and infrastructure to address effectively the communications needs of our local health care providers, health care educational institutions and patients and their family. We also understand that the local IT staff from these stakeholders do not have the resources to implement the wide range of communications strategies that have recently become available, or the will to slow the momentum of adoption of last generation technologies which may currently not be the ideal solution to meet contemporary communications requirements. It is precisely here that Rocky Mountain Learning has a role to play. We hope that our target market will realize this need and recognize our ability to fulfill it at low cost. The figure below illustrates the Rocky Mountain Learning Technology Framework which highlights the spectrum of areas that our strategy will impact, the array of technologies that we will be using and the audience we are targeting.
