Care givers are at high risk for compassion fatigue. Attendees will learn to identify compassion fatigue and differentiate it from burnout, identify elements of CF and those at risk, and identify resiliency factors.

LCDR Herbig is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist. She is stationed at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences as Director of the PMH-NP program. She has deployed several times and speaks nationally on the subject of compassion fatigue.
