Dr. Gregory O’Shanick is a board certified psychiatrist who has over 28 years of experience in neurorehabilitation and neuropsychiatry. He has dedicated his professional career to improving the quality of life for people with brain injuries and their families. He currently serves as the National Medical Director of the Brain Injury Association of America. In 1991, after spending a decade in academic medicine, Dr. O’Shanick founded the Center for Neurorehabilitation Services in Midlothian, Virginia, and currently serves as Medical Director, overseeing the outpatient, day treatment, and consultative services rendered to individuals with brain injuries and their families. Dr. O’Shanick has been named to numerous international, national and state committees throughout his career, and has authored hundreds of papers, books, editorials, and presentations on personality, intellectual and behavioral changes following a brain injury and the pharmacologic management of individuals with brain injury. He resides in Midlothian, Virginia with his wife, Alison, and their five children.
